"You are surprised." Not exactly a statement. That's its assumption: Shepard-Commander is surprised to be alive. Then again, given the situation? It's pretty surprised that functioning is still possible for anything here. "I would have anticipated for Shepard-Commander to know the difference between alive and dead, by now."

Just look at the pods, after all.

Legion lets go once Shepard's stabilized, but doesn't take sensors off of her, the plates around that one camera shifting a little. The "expression" was almost thoughtful in a way. Quite literally barely a second of hesitation, and then:

"Do you remember me?"

Just in the off chance that she might not. Long term stasis could do that to memories for organics.
