So just to confirm, characters can't tell their own positioning within this map, right? So they can't tell in which direction they're headed or if they're going towards the 'capital' or the 'target'?

Is the data interactive/modifiable in any way? Can they add locations, 'pin' spots, zoom in/out of the map, etc.
